Dr. Elisabeth Kramer from the University of New South Wales Comes to FF UNAIR to Educate on Tobacco Policy

Visit of Dr. Elisabeth Kramer went to FF UNAIR to give a guest lecture

Collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University (FF UNAIR) and foreign universities has often been carried out. One form of collaboration is by holding a guest lecture agenda. This activity was carried out to provide broad insight and international scale for the FF UNAIR academic community to improve the quality of education.

On January 19 2024, the guest lecture agenda will be held again. Located in the courtroom on the 2nd floor of the Nanizar Zaman Joenoes Building, the resource person invited to this agenda was Dr. Elisabeth Kramer. He gave a lecture for approximately 2 hours.

Dr. Kramer, as he is familiarly known, is the former Deputy Director of the Sydney Southeast Asia Center, University of Sydney and is now a Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is also an Indonesianist who researched and wrote several books about Indonesia.

During his visit to FF UNAIR to give a guest lecture, he raised an interesting topic, namely "Tobacco Control and Policy". At that time, he explained in quite detail what tobacco policies and controls were in both Australia and Indonesia. With this explanation, he succeeded in providing points of view from the two countries. During the discussion session, several participants enthusiastically asked several questions which made the session even more lively.
